The artist behind the lens

Capturing exceptional images of pets, people, and businesses

Hi, I’m Chris. I grew up and still live in the Windsor area with my two huge Maine Coon cats, Wolfie and Loki (perhaps naming one after the god of mischief was a bad idea).

I work as a firefighter as well as running my photography business. I studied photography at college and briefly at university, but didn’t pursue it professionally until later on in life.

I’ve always loved animals and travel, and I often combine the two-saving my pennies to explore the world and photograph wildlife. My passion for photography really took off when I started diving. I know it sounds bonkers, but when I realised I could dive with sharks, whales, dolphins, crocodiles, and alligators, I thought: “Sign me up and take my money!’

Wanting to capture these once-in-a-lifetime moments, I gradually worked my way through various underwater camera systems, and that is how my love of photography evolved. People often don’t believe I get in to the water with these creatures until they see my images - you can check them out here.

Fast forward a few years, and I’m now running a successful photography business. I still work with animals, but I also use my skills across other genres, mostly helping businesses bring their visuals to life.

And in case you’re wondering - yes, I still save my pennies so I can get in the water with apex predators once a year, somewhere in the world.

The most successful photography doesn’t just look good - it has meaning and purpose. Whether capturing the character of a much-loved animal or elevating the presence of a brand, the intention behind the image matters.

If you feel that my approach and style align with what you are looking for, I would be happy to talk about your project

Why work with me?

  • Approachable

I understand the significance of first impressions when meeting someone new so I like to be approachable right from the get go, even if you just want to find out more information. I’m a big fan of phone calls, so please give me a call any time. I’d love to hear from you if you’re considering a photoshoot and want to know more.

I recognise that you are entrusting me with one of the most important beings in your life - your beloved pet, so it’s important to me to create an immediate sense of comfort and approachability.

  • Relaxed & Patient

I’ve got a lifetime of experience being around animals which is perfect for really tuning into how the animal is behaving or feeling - I always work at the animal’s pace.

My style is very relaxed and patient and I have lots of tricks up my sleeve to get fabulous photos even of the wriggliest puppies who won’t sit still. If it takes an entire afternoon to capture the desired shots, so be it! Having said that, if the animal is stressed or scared, we would simply postpone until another day as I’ll never push the process if it’s not right.

  • Happy & Creative

I always have a smile on my face and bring an upbeat, cheerful mood to my work. It’s important that we have as much fun as possible during the shoot.

I treat each shoot with complete individuality and devise creative processes to suit the setting, animal, weather, client’s wishes and more…

Even if I’m shooting a commercial campaign with multiple animals, unpredictable subjects, or an unusual location, there’s always a creative solution

  • High Quality & Attentive

Whilst my personality may seem relaxed, I take huge pride in attention to detail during both the shoot and the editing process. I’m committed to going the extra mile to achieve the desired outcome, maintaining the highest standard of quality throughout.

I carefully choose frames and materials that elevate and showcase the final artwork, ensuring every finished image is presented in the best possible way — whether for a cherished pet portrait or a commercial campaign.
