FAQs

  • Every project starts with a free consultation. This gives me the chance to understand your business, your goals, and how the images will be used.

Some clients arrive with a detailed brief; others know what they want to achieve but need help shaping the creative direction. Either way, I guide you through the process and consult you at every stage — from planning and styling through to final image selection — making adjustments as we go to ensure the final images meet your needs.

  • In certain cases, yes.

If you’re planning a large or multi-product project and want to confirm that my style and quality are the right fit, I’m happy to carry out a free test shoot using a single product.

We’ll first agree on details such as angles, backgrounds, and key features to highlight. I’ll then photograph and edit one image and send you a watermarked preview. If you’re happy to proceed, the test image is included in the final project and added to your invoice.

  • Commercial projects are priced on a project-by-project basis, as requirements vary.

Most shoots follow a simple structure:

    • A shoot fee covering time and planning

    • A per-image fee for professionally edited images

Images are priced on a descending scale, so the more you select, the lower the cost per image.

Larger commercial shoots may be priced using a day rate, with image usage and licensing calculated based on how the images will be used. Any additional requirements — such as models, locations, studios, or support staff — are discussed and quoted in advance.

  • Yes.

I have a large network of trusted animal owners and can source specific breeds, sizes, or types of animals when required. Owners are often happy to take part in commercial shoots in exchange for payment or free product, depending on the project.

Any modelling fees, travel costs, or special requirements are agreed during the consultation so there are no surprises.

  • Yes.

Smaller product shoots are often photographed in my home studio. For animal or lifestyle shoots, I work from my main studio in Windsor or on location.

If a project requires a larger studio or specialist space, this can be sourced and hired separately, depending on your brief.

  • Turnaround times depend on the size of the project, but most commercial shoots receive edited images within an agreed timeframe discussed before the shoot. If you’re working to a deadline, this can usually be accommodated — just let me know during the planning stage.

  • Image usage and licensing are agreed in advance and tailored to how you intend to use the images — for example, websites, social media, advertising, packaging, or print. I’ll explain everything clearly so you know exactly what’s included.

  • Yes. I regularly work directly with brands, agencies, publishers, and marketing teams, ensuring the imagery aligns with existing campaigns, brand guidelines, and wider marketing strategies.
